This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which transactions or investments made on Crowdveste—Zambia's donation-based and equity-based crowdfunding platform—may be eligible for refunds. Crowdveste ("we," "our," "the platform") operates solely as a facilitator of fundraising campaigns and does not guarantee the performance or outcome of any campaign or investment.

Important Notice

Crowdveste serves as an intermediary platform connecting fundraisers with supporters and investors. We facilitate transactions but do not control campaign outcomes or guarantee results.

2. Platform Role & Liability Disclaimer

Intermediary Role

Crowdveste serves exclusively as an intermediary between campaign creators and contributors or investors.

No Endorsement

We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the success, legitimacy, or delivery of any fundraising campaign.

Limited Liability

Crowdveste shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or failure arising from campaign outcomes.

User Responsibility

All users are expected to conduct independent due diligence before making transactions or investments.

3. Donation-Based Campaigns

Refund Eligibility

Donations are generally non-refundable, except in limited situations:

  • Verified fraudulent or misleading campaign activity
  • Campaign cancellation before fund disbursement
  • Erroneous transactions (duplicate payments, input errors)

Refund Requests

Requirements for donation refund requests:

  • Must be submitted within 14 days of donation
  • Only eligible if funds have not been disbursed
  • Refunds processed to original payment method
  • Transaction fees may be deducted

Non-Refundable Cases

The following donations are not eligible for refunds: Voluntary transactions to social, personal, or charitable causes after disbursement, dissatisfaction with campaign outcomes, project delays, or creator performance issues.

4. Equity-Based Campaigns

48-Hour Cooling-Off Period

In accordance with best practices, Crowdveste offers a 48-hour cooling-off period from the time of investment commitment. During this time, investors may cancel their investment by contacting support in writing.

Disclaimer: Please note that the 48-hour cooling-off period is a voluntary investor protection policy implemented by Crowdveste. It is not mandated by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Zambia and should not be interpreted as a legal requirement under Zambian securities regulations.

Post Cooling-Off Commitments

After 48 hours, investments are final and non-refundable, except:

  • Campaign cancellation or failure to meet funding target
  • Regulatory authority halts the campaign
  • Shares not issued due to platform/issuer error

Investor Responsibility

Important investor acknowledgments:

  • Solely responsible for assessing risks and merits
  • No investment advice or return guarantees provided
  • Capital is at risk and may not be recovered

5. Refund Processing

Refund Approval

Once your refund request meets our policy criteria and is approved by our review team.

Processing Time

Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days, depending on your payment processor or financial institution.

Fee Deduction

Crowdveste reserves the right to deduct transaction fees or administrative charges where applicable.

6. Dispute Resolution

If you believe you are entitled to a refund under this policy, please contact our team with supporting evidence. All claims will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
